New Millions in Funding for Zero-Emission Trucks in Poland

Poland is continuing its strong push toward electrifying the heavy-duty transport sector, launching the second phase of its billion-zloty subsidy program announced last fall. Starting May 30, the nationwide funding scheme for electric trucks (e-trucks) will open in Poland, with a total budget of PLN 2 billion (approx. €468 million). A parallel program for public charging infrastructure has already been running since March 31, with the same funding volume.

Both initiatives are managed by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW), in cooperation with the European Investment Bank (EIB).


What is funded?

The program targets companies in the transport and logistics sector and supports:


  • The purchase or leasing of fully electric trucks in vehicle categories N2 and N3


Funding levels: Up to €175,000 for trucks in Poland

Funding rates are based on company size:


  • Large companies: up to 30% of eligible costs

  • Medium-sized companies: up to 50%

  • Small companies: up to 60%


Maximum grant amounts:


  • Approx. €93,000 (PLN 400,000) for N2 class trucks

  • Approx. €175,000 (PLN 750,000) for N3 class trucks


Key deadlines and conditions


  • Program end: December 31, 2029

  • First e-truck call: June 2025

  • Charging infrastructure application window: March 31–December 31, 2025

  • Contract signing deadline: June 30, 2029

  • Final disbursement date: December 31, 2029

  • Operation requirement: All vehicles must remain in use by the respective company for a minimum of five years.
